Bamboo ply is “the new kid on the block” for structural ply.
Bamboo Refined are introducing these products for general use and for structural and form work in the building industry. Currently we are stocking two types of ply board:
- 10mm bamboo ply board (As pictured above left)
Sheets are 1220mm x 2440mm x 10mm with a smooth, ‘bamboo’ look finish. This ply is structurally similar, to slightly stronger than, ordinary 10mm marine ply. The attractive finish allows it to be used as a visible, finishing panel. It is fully weather proof and will not deteriorate, warp or disintegrate from rain, water or sun.
- 15mm bamboo “bridge” ply (As pictured above right)
Sheets are 1220mm x 2440mm x 14mm with a smooth, brown or black paper finish. This dense ply is of superior, bamboo strength, and can be used for bridging form work and structural work. It is fully weather proof and will not deteriorate, warp or disintegrate from rain, water or sun.
- Bamboo Refined have imported a new line of bamboo ply with a similar external look and texture to our 10mm ply but this new sheeting is only 5 mm thick; cheaper and therefore more suitable for use in ceilings where the extra strength and weight is not rquired.
